Summary
Xoom offers users of both mobile and desktop the ability to send money internationally to loved ones around the world. Users were requesting the ability to request money from outside of the United States. We created a feature for this request.
Problem
Xoom did not offer the ability to current and potential new users to request money from outside the US. This would require adding two flows, new and existing users.
Solution
We did a competitive analysis, looking at several apps and sites that allowed for requesting money from inside and outside the US. We found a few solid solutions, but nothing that met the needs of our users. The UX and research teams set up interviews with customers, asking how they would want to utilize this feature. After collecting that data, we created the new and existing user flows, and the corresponding wireframes. This feature is live on desktop and in the app.
