Tresemme was a sponsor of the TV show Project Runway. EVB agency hired me to create a game where viewers could bet against, and team up with each other. Game categories included who would be the weekly winner, loser, and who had the best hair. The overall points winner would be flown to NYC during design week and given tickets to the final event at Bryant Park.
The viewers of Project Runway were having house parties each week, watching shows together. Tresemme learned of this and sought out to have an online game created. The constraints were that it would be coded in Flash, and a have scoring system TBD. We had 3 weeks and were given a limited number of requirements: It needed a points system, winner/loser/best hair selection page, profile, and results. At the end of week one, we were asked to design a league section into the offering.
I spent a few days working out an IA (Information Architecture) flow. This defined the four tabs plus footer for the respective sections. Once we were in agreement (Creative director, PM, account manager, and the client), these were the screens we’d be creating, I began wire-framing, meeting with the PM daily, until we came up with about 20 pages. We handed these off to a visual design team in San Diego, and you can see how their team emulated the wires in visual form.
